Nya och Ändrade Fördelar och Nackdelar

Fördelar

Variabla
Adaptive Heart-Beast: Magi. Multiple heartbeasts are possible. To gain another heartbeast, one season must be spent in close proximity to the animal in question in order to learn how to think like one. It is always easiest with similar types; if your first heartbeast is a cat, it will be easier and more reasonable to learn other feline shapes than, for example, canine or ursine. The more hearbeasts you have in one direction (and the higher the personality traits of those beasts), the harder it will be to gain other kinds of heartbeasts. Having “opposing” heartbeasts, such as mouse and cat, can lead to inner confusion as one part of you wants to attack the other half. The Storyguide should always be the final arbiter on whether you will succeed in gaining the heartbeast you are seeking to attain. This virtue costs +2 if you are limited to non-combatant heart-beasts, and +3 if you are not.

Faerie Blood: Somewhere in your ancestry there is a faerie, and this relation gives you an intuitive grasp of the motivations and personalities of those magical folk. Faeries are more comfortable around you than around other humans, and given time, may even forget the mortal blood in your veins. You may refer to the supplement Faeries for further information. You must choose what type of faerie blood that runs through your veins, and whether it is seelie (summer) blood or unseelie (winter) blood. A few examples are provided below, but you may pick any other faerie type and create your own rules for them (with the Storyguide's approval). All humans with faerie blood get +1 to all aging rolls and +3 to all natural resistance rolls for those spells they want to resist. In addition, they are likely to have a bonus to something else, worth approximately one virtue point, but they might also suffer from some kind of penalty, worth approximately one flaw point. The cost of the blood type is +2 if there is no penalty, and +1 if there is. (Further bonuses or penalties can raise or lower the cost even more.)

Example Faerie Bloods:
Goblin Blood (+1): Primarily Unseelie blood. You are descended from the dark faeries who rule the lands of darkness and cold. You are short, squat, and ill favored by humanity. Your Presence and Communication cannot be higher than 0 due to this dark nature. Still, it is not without benefit, as you can see in complete darkness as if it were twilight.

Satyr Blood (+2): Primarily Seelie blood. Satyrs are a promiscuous sort, and sire many children in different races. Though you are fully human in build, some features of your forefather exhibit themselves in you. You are extremely hairy, possess aquiline features (ruggedly handsome, prominent nose) and are cursed with cloven hooves/feet (you need special shoes). You automatically have a Lust Passion of 1 (though a higher score is recommended, and the Passion can be raised normally).

Sidhe Blood v1 (+2): Either Seelie or Unseelie blood. You are descended from one of the noble Sidhe who rule the faerie lands. Because of the striking and unusual qualities of your nature add +1 to your Presence, even it brings you total over +3. Many mortals may consider you fascinating or alluring.

Sidhe Blood v2 (+2): Either Seelie or Unseelie blood. One of your ancestors was of the noble Sidhe who rule the faerie lands. This relationship exhibits itself in your appearance, for you are slight of built, pale of skin, and likely to have either white blond or black hair (depending on which court your ancestor belonged to). Take a +1 bonus to your Dexterity, even if that brings your total over +5, but scratch your Hurt body level from your character sheet. Faeries who you meet may often treat you with great respect, believing you to be a noble of their kind. This is more likely to happen with faeries belonging to the same court as your ancestor, but even members of the opposite court will be polite -- at least while in your presence.
Strong Faerie Blood: This Virtue includes all of the effects of the Virtue Faerie Blood. In addition, you have +3 to resist-aging rolls (instead of +1, not in addition to), you have the Virtues Faerie Eyes and Faerie Sight, and you suffer from the Flaw Minor Discomfort from Iron. In addition, you may take any faerie Virtue at a cost of one Virtue point less than normal. The Flaw Vulnerable to Iron only counts as a -1 Flaw for characters who have the Virtue Strong Faerie Blood. Characters with Strong Faerie Blood have natural longevity and so begin making aging rolls at age fifty + Stamina, not thirty-five, at which time they appear to be around 35 (after the onset of puberty, divide your actual age by 1.4 to get your apparent age). Also, they respond as magi to longevity potions they are given, in terms of subtracting from aging rolls. The cost is the same as one more than regular Faerie Blood.
+1
Adept Student: Magi. Du får +6 på ditt labbtotal när du lär dig besvärjelser eller arbetar utifrån någon annans labbanteckningar

Extra Arts: You start with 20 extra purchase points in the magical Arts. This Virtue may be taken more than once.

Extra Spells: You start with 20 extra levels of spells. This Virtue may be taken more than once.

Free Study: Magi. Du får +1 på att studera från Vis, innan multiplicering, men alla böcker räknas som att de har två mindre i Kvalitet när du ska läsa från dessa.

Highly Trained: You have an extra 10 experience points to spend on Abilities. You may take this Virtue up to three times, but the maximum extra experience you can gain is the same as your starting age x1.5.

Sense for the Gift: Magi. You can in some way notice other people with the Gift (which way is up to you and the Storyguide). Noticing people with the Normal Gifts happens automatically; people with the Blatant Gift is highly uncomfortable to be around. To notice people with the Gentle Gift, make a Per stress roll of 6+. You can also notice people with a re-shaped Gift (i.e. Exceptional Talents). With a roll of 9+, you can sense people with Exceptional Talents worth 4+ Virtue points. With a roll of 12+ you can sense people with Exceptional Talents worth 2 or 3 Virtue points. With a roll of 15+, you can sense the presence of any Exceptional Talent. You cannot, however, tell which Exceptional Talent(s) the person possesses.
